Just for a while we have decided to have a change. Both Rich and myself are very pro body art and are both heavily tattooed. Often at our venues I am asked the relevance of my tattoos. The truth is that all of them have an individual story and many of them are connected to my spiritual path and Richard so I thought I'd list my reasons for each of them.

My Art

Right Arm Shoulder; Inscribed with the word Spirit Incarnate. This is what we are, the energy within, the consciousness that lives on after we die. The spirit that we are, pure energy, part of the Is.

Middle Right Arm; Tribal art with a centre section of Japanese Kanji. This is a homage to my years as a 3rd Dan teacher of Karate. The text means Martial way/ The way of the Warrior. I know that I am a spiritual warrior and soldier for the spirit world and have had many military incarnations. (as a very young child my heroine was Joan of Arc).
Lower Right Arm; Fire Walk With Me. This is taken from a very dark TV series Twin Peaks. and is part of an invocation used by the possessing entity (Bob) who took over different characters and used them to perform his evil deeds. The full mantra is

Through the darkness of future pasts.
The magician longs to see.
One chance out between two worlds.
Fire walk with me.

Left Arm Shoulder; Far beyond Driven. This is a title track on an album form a favourite band of mine Pantera and I feel is very much how I am. My birthday is the 7th of October and this is *The day of defiance, astrologically my tarot card is the Chariot. Enough said I think.

Middle Left Arm; A large rose tattoo with a scroll containing the name Richard. This one was done on April 1st 2000 at the request of my guide. He told me that in his life he had very often been let down and asked me to have this tattoo as a sign of commitment. It would make him feel secure.

Lower Left Arm; This was dedicated the philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche who has always been a great source of inspiration to me. The tattoo includes the dates of his birth and death and also the quote; This is my Truth.

Mandala designed mostly by Richard.
Top outer circle (which represents earthly things) the name Kali, the Goddess of destruction. I use her energy to negate negativity, to cut through illusions or to deal with people who are being dishonest.
Lower outer circle 666.Often thought to be *the number of the beast* ( well I AM a bit of a monster)! Actually, numerologically it breaks down into a 9 which is about completion. And I have made a pledge to complete my spiritual obligations.
Left outer circle is my zodiac Libra representing my earth life.
The other side is the sign Aquarius which represents my earthly soul mate.
2nd Circle equals my connection to the Spirit World. Life blood is what Richard says I am to him and symbiotic is what he says we are to each other. Both his and my Zodiac signs are in this circle expressing our connection in spirit.
The OM is central and is symbolic of peace. Richard says the key to inner peace is self acceptance. I believe both he and I have attained this. Also at the centre point of any wheel, even one in motion (the Buddhists say) is stillness. In stillness we can all find peace, this is a major part of Zen philosophy, it is also crucial in trance development. To exist in the void , in no mind, to practice acceptance.

Circles are also about eternity and are spiritual power traps..
